Welcome to the www.youngtimers.org website (the “Website”), operated by Youngtimers, Inc. (“Youngtimers,” “we” or “us”).  We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that is dedicated to helping better address the needs of early onset familial Alzheimer’s Disease individuals and families.

Certain features of the Website may be subject to additional guidelines, terms, or rules, which will be posted on the Website in connection with such features.  All such additional terms, guidelines, and rules, including our Privacy Policy, are incorporated by reference into these terms of use (these “Terms”).

These Terms set forth the legally binding terms and conditions that govern your use of the Website.  By accessing or using the Website, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

PRIVACY POLICY

Your submission of information, including personal information, through or in connection with the Website is governed by the terms of our privacy policy, available at Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”). 

USE OF PUBLICATIONS, TRADEMARKS, AND LOGOS

  • Publications:  Youngtimers provide information and resources on early onset familial Alzheimer’s Disease and a myriad of difficult and complex issues that affect individuals with this unique disease and their families.  They include articles, reports based on medical research and findings, patient perspective pieces, and recorded webinars and informational workshops by experts (collectively, “Publications”). Unless otherwise expressly stated, all content provided on the Website is intellectual property that belongs to Youngtimers.

 

  • Use and Certain Restrictions:  You are permitted to download information from the Website for your own personal informational use. You may also copy, distribute, adapt, and transmit content from this Website solely for not-for-profit or educational purposes, provided that the use contains the following attribution: [“Reproduced with permission of Youngtimers”.] You may not suggest any other relationship, endorsement or affiliation with us unless you obtain express written permission. You must also obtain express written permission from us for any use other than those expressly granted in this section.  

 

  • Trademarks and Logos: All trademarks, logos, and service marks (“Marks”) displayed on the Website are Youngtimers’ property or the property of other third parties. You are not permitted to use these Marks without our prior written consent or the consent of such third party which may own the Marks.

Any concerns regarding any such service or resource should be directed to the particular service or resource.

    When you click on any links leading to a third-party’s website, the applicable third-party’s terms and policies apply, including the third party’s privacy and data gathering practices.

 

  • Ownership:  Youngtimers respects copyright and trademark laws. Third-party material may appear on our site, and those creators retain all rights to their works, except where noted.

Although we try to keep the information available on the Website current and accurate, errors can occur. We provide the information on the Website with no representations or guarantees of accuracy, completeness, or timeliness. Youngtimers will not be liable to you or any other person for any damages that may result from the use of the Website, or as a result of any content, information, services, or resources made available through the Website.

CHANGES TO THE TERMS

We may make changes to these Terms from time to time. If so, we will notify you of any material changes by email to the most current email address you provided, and posting a notice within our Services. If you receive notification of a change in our Terms, we strongly urge you to review the new Terms carefully and make sure you understand our practices and procedures.

TERMINATION

Subject to this Section, these Terms will remain in full force and effect while you use the Website.  We may suspend or terminate your rights to use the Website at any time for any reason at our sole discretion, including for any use of the Website in violation of these Terms.  Upon termination of your rights under these Terms, your right to access and use the Website will terminate immediately. 

GENERAL PROVISIONS

  • Waiver: Our failure to exercise or enforce any right or remedy under these Terms shall not operate as a waiver of such right or remedy, nor shall it prevent any future exercise or enforcement of such right or remedy.

  • Entire Terms: These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Youngtimers regarding the use of the Website.

 

  • Governing Law and Jurisdiction: This Website is owned and operated by us from our office in California. Your use of the Website, and any related legal action, will be governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of laws principles. The sole jurisdiction for any litigation arising out of your use of the Website will be an appropriate federal or state court located in Orange County, California.
