Would you like to connect with other people who share similar struggles with Familial Alzheimer’s Disease (also known as Dominantly Inherited Alzheimer’s Disease)?
About the event
Youngtimers has joined with Rare Dementia Support (UK) and Rare Dementia Support Canada to host a joint support group that brings together people from the US, Canada, UK, and beyond who are impacted by familial Alzheimer's disease.
It is rare to have or be at risk of these genetic mutations (APP, PSEN1, PSEN2), but you are not alone! Our community stretches across the globe. Please join us for a 90-minute gathering to share our stories and connect with our international community.
This joint support group will bring together individuals from the US, Canada, UK and beyond who are impacted by autosomal dominantly inherited familial Alzheimer’s disease (sometimes referred to as ADAD, DIAD or FAD). This collaboration aims to support individuals who are symptomatic, asymptomatic (confirmed positive genetic status), and at-risk (confirmed mutation in the family but genetic status unknown), and/or supporting or caregiving for someone with familial Alzheimer’s disease.
Breakout Groups
We will begin the virtual gathering as one collective community and then separate into smaller breakout rooms to share our stories with others in similar situations.
