Youngtimers Participation Waiver and Release of Liability

By participating in any support group, peer-to-peer session, interview, or other program offered by Youngtimers, Inc. (“Youngtimers”), I agree to the following terms:

1. Voluntary Participation and Assumption of Risk

I understand that my participation in Youngtimers programs and services (the “Activities”)—including support groups, one-on-one peer support, interviews, and storytelling opportunities—is completely voluntary. These Activities may involve sharing personal, emotional, or health-related experiences.

I accept and voluntarily assume all risks that may result from participating in these Activities, including emotional discomfort or unintended sharing of personal information. I understand that I am choosing to participate at my own risk.

2. Waiver, Release, and Covenant Not to Sue

In consideration of being allowed to participate in the Activities, I, on behalf of myself, my spouse, my minor children (if applicable), my heirs, beneficiaries, executors, and assigns, waive, release, covenant not to sue, and hold harmless Youngtimers and its employees, directors, officers, contractors, volunteers, instructors, facilitators, agents, and representatives (“Youngtimers Parties”) from any and all claims, demands, rights, and causes of action of any kind—known or unknown, foreseen or unforeseen—that may arise from or relate to:

• My participation in the Activities;

• The conduct, acts, or omissions of any of the Youngtimers Parties;

• Any technical or platform issues associated with the Activities;

• Any emotional distress, data breach, or loss of privacy.

This waiver applies to participation in both in-person and online settings.

3. Consent to Recording and Sharing of Stories

If I choose to share my personal story through an interview or testimonial, I grant Youngtimers permission to record, edit, and share that story (in whole or in part) on its website, email newsletters, or social media channels. I understand that I may:

• Decline to have my story recorded or published, or

• Withdraw consent at any time by contacting info@youngtimers.org.

4. Indemnification

If any claim is brought against Youngtimers by a third party—such as a family member, estate representative, or other party—arising from my participation in the Activities, I agree to indemnify and defend the Youngtimers Parties. This includes payment for all associated losses, legal costs, attorney’s fees, and any damages or awards resulting from such a claim.

5. Acknowledgment

By participating in any Youngtimers Activity, I certify that:

• I have read and understood this waiver;

• I am signing voluntarily and agree to its terms;

• I am legally authorized to agree on behalf of any minor children in my care.
