Alicia

Alicia is a co-founder of Youngtimers, an organization established in 2020 to support individuals and families affected by familial Alzheimer’s disease (FAD).

Her motivation to help found Youngtimers began after learning that her family carries a genetic mutation associated with FAD. Alicia holds a B.A. in Sociology and Public Policy from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Rooted in the social sciences and somatic education, Alicia's work reflects a deep interest in how humans connect, cope, and find resilience in the face of inherited illness.

She recognizes that families affected by FAD often experience generational trauma and brings a lens focused on restoring and supporting community's mental and emotional health.

Through Youngtimers, Alicia is dedicated to fostering collaboration among researchers, families, and advocacy partners to advance awareness, engagement, and research participation within the FAD community.
