Clinical trial support group for familial Alzheimer's disease

For clinical trial participants and those supporting them

The journey of facing familial Alzheimer's disease (FAD) can be lonely and isolating. At Youngtimers, our mission is to provide community, information, and hope.

Our monthly support groups are moderated by caring facilitators who are licensed mental health providers familiar with familial Alzheimer's disease. The clinical trials support group will on the last Thursday of the month at 3:30pm Central beginning in September of 2026.

The clinical trials support group is for people affected by FAD who are enrolled in, or considering, a clinical trial, along with their support people. Some attendees may know their genetic status, while others may not. Attendees face similar challenges around the specific stresses of trial participation: not knowing your trial-arm assignment, undergoing invasive procedures, facing anxiety around results disclosure, sustaining motivation through multi-year timelines, and navigating family dynamics around a loved one's participation.

This group is for English-speaking participants.
