Celebrating Five Years!

We support people impacted by familial Alzheimer’s disease with community, education and advocacy.

Hi there,

For most of our lives, there was no way for people like us to connect with one another. No community for families like ours. This disease, these genetic mutations, were even more difficult to navigate because we felt so alone.

That’s why, five years ago, we started Youngtimers. It was time: time for connection, for support, for community. Time to stop feeling alone.

And what a difference it has made! Five years of meeting folks with stories like ours, people who understand what we're going through because they've lived it as well. Five years of gatherings, support groups, seminars, education, and advocacy specifically for us, not the Alzheimer's population at large. Five years of facing this unique disease together instead of alone.

As we mark this milestone, we'd love to invite you to be part of the Youngtimers Circle, our first-ever monthly giving program. In honor of our 5th anniversary, a generous supporter of our community has offered to match every dollar given (up to $5,000) within the next 5 weeks, making this a meaningful moment to give if you're willing and able!

If you’re able to give, your support will make a real difference to Youngtimers sustainability. You can change or stop your monthly donation at any time.

We are grateful for each one of you, and for what this community has come to mean to so many. Thank you.

Here’s to five years together, and many more to come!

$5/month to celebrate 5 years.

We have 5 weeks to match a $5,000 donation. Five dollars a month - a simple recurring gift to mark our fifth anniversary - becomes ten when you give now. Give any amount that feels right to you. Every dollar goes directly toward sustaining the support, education, and advocacy that FAD families count on.

The Youngtimers Circle is our first-ever monthly giving program. Simple, sustainable and community driven is our goal. This match was made specifically to help us launch it, and we'd love your help making the most of it!

Here is a glimpse into the work you'll make possible. Some of these initiatives are already underway. Others, we're working toward. All gifts go into a general fund that moves where the need is greatest.

$5/month: Curated News & Guidance

→ Doubles to $10/month with match*

Keeps our website updated as a 24/7 resource for every FAD family, anywhere in the world.

$15/month: Multilingual Outreach

→ Doubles to $30/month with match*

Expands our reach to FAD families who need support in languages other than English.

$25/month: Expert-Led Workshops

→ Doubles to $50/month with match*

Brings clinicians and researchers directly to our community — turning science into something families can actually use.

$50/month: Community Fund

→ Doubles to $100/month with match*

Helps us build a future fund dedicated to direct financial support for FAD families — covering needs like mental health care, caregiving costs, and clinical trial participation.

$100/month:  In-Person Events

→ Doubles to $200/month with match*

Helps make regional gatherings and a standalone national event possible one day — spaces designed around FAD families, focused on community, connection, and the whole person.

Your gift, doubled

Keith Swayne, a supporter of Youngtimers, has generously offered to match all gifts to the Youngtimers Circle, up to $5,000, because he believes in the power of this community.

If you’re interested in making a gift like Keith’s to support the Youngtimers Circle, we’d love to talk! Reach out to us at info@youngtimers.org.
